The Spirit

Every time I read the gospels or the book of Acts, my heart is stirred up that there is more in Jesus and that there is more to the Holy Spirit. I always long to see God move in miraculous ways. But I never know what to do with those feelings and desires. I mentioned this desire as a prayer request during our men’s discipleship class. Immediately after I shared, I felt selfish and prideful. When we prayed, my request was overlooked and forgotten.

However the next day, Les, an older student on campus who is here in Peru with his wife and children, asked me if I wanted to start praying with him for more of the Spirit. We are now praying Tuesday and Thursday mornings for the Spirit of God to do a great work among us. I am excited to see what God will do!
